The Removal of Chromium(VI) from Aqueous Solution by Amine-Functionalized Zeolite: Kinetics, Thermodynamics, and Equilibrium Study

In this study, the removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by modified zeolite with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane was investigated. The effect various parameters such as pH, contact time, temperature, initial concentration ion, common cations, and anions on adsorption studied. characterized following instrumental analysis XRD, SEM/EDS, BET, FT-IR. Based calculated thermodynamic values (ΔG0 H0 > 0, ΔS0 0) kinetic properties zeolite, it concluded that rate-limiting step process is a second-order chemical reaction. results isotherm study confirmed follows Langmuir model. maximum capacity 13.5 mg/g.
